The editorial board of Etnográfica would like to remind readers of the permanent open call for thematic dossier proposals, whose annual evaluation period is approaching.

At Etnográfica, we conceive thematic dossiers as meaningful encounters of ideas and research, reflecting the pulse of the discipline and contributing with their own coherence, argument, and structure.

Proposals submitted by 31 January 2026 will be assessed by the Editorial Board over the following two months, and the decision on whether or not they will proceed to peer review will be communicated to the organisers by 31 March.

Submitting a dossier proposal presupposes that the corresponding manuscript is in a condition to be submitted in full shortly thereafter, should it be selected by the Editorial Board for peer review. This full submission must take place no later than 30 April.

Dossiers that receive a positive evaluation through peer review will normally be published in the following year.
