Carlos Chirinos holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology and Communication from Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV, 2021), a Master’s degree in Medical Anthropology and International Health (URV, 2015), and a Bachelor's degree in Social Anthropology from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (2010). He was a Margarita Salas postdoctoral fellow (2022–2024) at Oxford Brookes University and URV. Currently, he is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie postdoctoral fellow (2025–2028) at the Centre for Research in Anthropology (CRIA) in Lisbon and at the School of Social Sciences (SoSS) at Monash University, carrying out CLIMAGECARE research in the Raya area (Spanish-Portuguese border).
