ostdoctoral researcher in Social Anthropology at the University of São Paulo (USP), with funding from Fapesp 2023/06358-6. His research focuses on the production of Cinema from/in the Amazon. He holds a Master's and PhD in Social Anthropology. In 2020, he was a visiting researcher at the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA) at the Institute of Anthropological Sciences. He is a member of the "Grupo de Investigaciones Latinoamericanas en Antropología y Salud" and a member of the research group on Contemporary Amazon Studies (NUAMA/UERJ). He has taught in the National Program for the Training of Basic Education Teachers (PARFOR/CAPES/UFOPA). During his PhD, he researched the therapeutic journeys of scalping victims and their social and political mobilization in the Amazon, for which he was awarded the Best Thesis in Anthropology and Human Rights by the ABA (2020). On the same topic, he produced a technical piece for the development of public policies at the Ministry of Health (2019). He has experience in directing and producing documentary, ethnographic, and fiction films. Notable works include "Minha Vida por um Fio" (based on his PhD thesis), "Erveiras," "Reconstruindo a Comunidade," and "Encante." His research interests include Visual Anthropology, Cinema and Anthropology, Medical Anthropology, Body, Culture, and Anthropology of/from the Amazon.
