Anthropologist. Main research areas: work and technology in industrial labour; memories of work; work, consumption, social reproduction and inequality; uses of industrial film (1950-70s); history of the glass industry and glassworkers. Has taught at FCSH -UNL. Has worked / works as a member of research teams and editorial and scientific boards, and as a peer reviewer. Author of Os Operários e as Suas Máquinas: Ussos Sociais da Técnica no Trabalho Vidreiro (2009, Lisbon, Gulbenkian/FCT) and many other works, including reports, chapters and scientific articles, and outreach publications.
