Degree in Anthropology from the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra and master's degree in Artistic Education from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon. Rita Lobo Guimarães is now a doctorate student in the PhD Program Anthropology: Policies and Image of Culture and Museology (FCSH-UNL and ISCTE-IUL), with the support of a doctoral scholarship from the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). Her areas of research have focused on cultural policies, heritage processes in articulation with identity issues, and craftsmanship in Cape Verde.
